February 29, 2024 - Deep color, not much aging. Still young but full of potential, it is showing balsamic notes, pine, some menthol, also some herbal notes, deep dark red berries, some dark plum too, cedar wood, graphite and tar, excellent depth of flavor and complexity. Superb balance of fruit and high tannin, high acidity and medium-full body, excellent length. A super Montestefano and while still younger, great potential here. This was one of my favorites of the vertical, excellent Montestefano. (95+)

January 19, 2024 - Oxidized. May have had cork taint. Gave it time, never quite came to life. I think it’s in a bad era. Gonna forget about my other single vineyard 2013s for a while.

December 24, 2023 - tight and angry when open
followed by demure cherries and italian earth
good now with an hour decant
better in 3-5 yrs.
as usual barbaresco and lamb in harmony at seasons 52
