September 24, 2022 - Double decanted and poured. This still needs an hour or so to start to open up. It seemed a bit drying on the finish, but that may simply be a case of it being gone before fully coming around. Maybe.

December 20, 2020 - Drinks like twice the price. Give it minimum an hour to be open and find a perfect partner for pasta with red sauce and beef. NOTE: On second night, I increased rating from 90 to 91. A substantial jump in the texture, with suave waves of smoothness now emerge, accounts for the increase (as well as a nibble of chocolate peeking out during the long finish).

February 24, 2019 - A nice polished cab. The bouquet is still reserved, but has more depth than I was expecting. Flirting with Bordeaux qualities of graphite and cassis. The palate was medium to full bodied and opened up after an hour to revel sweet, ripe tannins. Well done!

June 16, 2018 - decanted and poured: The nose was quite expressive from the get-go, but on the palate it was very tight and quite tannic. Over the course of an hour or so, the tannins subsided and the flavors rounded out. Sufficient structure that it could have used a steak or rich food. see no reason to drink up, a couple years probably won't hurt. Really quite a nice cab without being a bruiser. I apparently liked this better than most here 91-92ish

January 31, 2017 - Improved since my bottle from 6 months ago - smoother and more balanced. Nothing spectacular, but a solid, pleasant Cab.

November 26, 2016 - Had a glass last night and this was unremarkable: tightly wound in the palate with a reserved bouquet and a thin, curt finish. Tonight this is a MUCH better wine. Sweet polished tannins are enveloped by cassis and mineral laced black fruit. The nose is reminiscent of an old world wine presenting ripe black fruit and a hint of oak. This is still young and should improve for several years. Check back in two years.

October 23, 2016 - A bit heavy on the alcohol...seems to overpower the fruit.

September 4, 2016 - Medium bodied, concentrated and smooth, silky texture, and nice (relatively short) finish. Straight down-the-middle Napa cab from a decent vintage. Not too complex, but a good effort, if not terribly memorable or distinguished. Drinks at the $30 I paid for it, so I'm satisfied and would buy again.

July 24, 2016 - lush; very fruit forward, good structure and characteristics, but the overall fruit flavor not outstanding. There is better at $30, but not a bad value.
