October 19, 2023 - A mildly oxidative style, this had notes of apples supported by cream and grilled nuts. Very complex and a wonderfully lingering finish. CHP 91pts

September 10, 2022 - The struck match and sulphur element, for the most part, masked the classic quince pear flavours, although the fruit character did finally emerge after some vigorous swirling. As the wine opened up there was cream and spice, balanced against some firm acidity. I loved the profile and admired the length of finish, but this bottle didn’t compare to the last bottle opened last year. 89 pts.

    March 28, 2021 - Colour: Limpid straw
Nose: Crisp apples & pears, with an underlying note of honey.
Palate: Quince pear fruit supported with dried honey enriched with cream. Fully dry, but there is a lovely balance between the ripeness and acidity of the fruit. The length of finish is truly extraordinary.
Impression: A stunning dry expression of the Chenin grape and what it is fully capable of. Really classy and on this form offers a serious challenge to the supremacy of Chardonnay.
    Score: 93 points

October 6, 2019 - Fabulous wine from Jacky Blot, showing beautifully after 5 years. Light golden hue. Fragrant nose of ripe peach, honey, a little smoke (from age, not oak). Palate is full, fruit driven and off dry at first, ripe stone fruit but with fresh acidity, finishes dry, textured. Drinking very well now, though I expect this will be lovely over the next 2-3 years. Chenin at its alluring best.

March 7, 2017 - Lovely. Just a glass at a bar but excellent balance, chalky/lime, adding touch of honey and depth with air. Perfect balance.
