November 16, 2019 - Popped and poured. Aroma of flowers and lanolin. Clean flavors of peach and melon. Some honey in the finish. Pure, elegant, well integrated, though a bit staid for my taste. I'm not complaining, this is a lovely wine and is drinking really well right now.

April 17, 2018 - This bottle was not the best with some odd flavors to it. Not corked, but not really very good, unfortunately.

December 15, 2017 - Second and last bottle some 18 months after the first, and those months made a world of difference. Open for business. Bruised apple, mineral, starfruit, and just a touch of funk. Lovely stuff, as usual.

October 15, 2017 - This stainless steel, 100% Chenin Blanc is pale with a core of morning sunlight. The nose is floral with white blossom, citrus, fig, lanolin, saline and almond. This is an entry level white for Domain Baudry, but it delivers plenty of flavor. The salinity in the wine is deliciously distinct. Diverse and deft on the palate with a medium mouthfeel that works well with the essentially vegetable galette. 13% alc. With squash galette (with PMB home for fall break). Recommended.

July 2, 2017 - I agree with the other recent tasting notes on this wine. This wine has some complexity with grilled lemon, sea salt, lime, stones, minerality, and a full mouthfeel to it. Quite lovely.

November 6, 2016 - Light gold color. Salty and mineral-lade on the nose with rocks, mountain stream, sea brine, on top of green apples and lemon curd. So crisp and nervy on the palate with precise acidity. White flowers, sea salt, ocean breeze, crusty minerals, on top of lemons, white peaches and green apples. This is why I love Chenin and why I love Baudry. What a value.

October 6, 2016 - Fresh, citrusy, with restrained fruit like a cross between underripe plum and underripe apple, distinct chamomile (that I never would have pinned down without JahLove's note), and a touch of honey. Good acidity, a bit silky in texture, with straightforward lemon-apple-light-honey flavors, and light stony minerality developing toward the finish. Somewhat low-intensity and not exactly complex, but characterful, tasty, balanced, highly drinkable, and quite enjoyable for what it is.

September 29, 2016 - When most people consider Domain Baudry, they likely consider his easy drinking Domain Rouge or his ponderous Les Grezaux, but in either event, they consider his deft expressions of Cab. Franc. But should you run across his cuvées of blanc, snap them up, even this entry level white made of 100% Chenin Blanc from vines of 5 to 15 years. The color is all lemon straw reflecting its youthfulness. The floral, lemon oil, almond, graham cracker and mineral immediately blossom when the cork is pulled. They pull through on the palate effortlessly in a finish of salinity that gives the wine both cleanness and completeness. This is full bodied for a white wine and completely dry, yet delivers intense flavors. 13% alc. With roasted salmon under a tomato sauce. Recommended.
