May 7, 2022 - Dinner in the Medoc Room (Meritage, St. Paul): Deep golden color. From 375 ml, drank a small glass over 30 minutes. Geez Louise, was this the perfect pairing with our Crepes Suzette or what. The orange caramel and Grand Marnier of the Suzette really accentuated the orange marmalade, and candied pineapple on the Rieussec. Ripe and tropical with good balance, peach, orange creme brulee, white flowers, toasted shaved coconut, pineapple, honeyed, richly textured and long with a good spiciness too. Nice capper to the evening.

    May 4, 2022 - from a half bottle.
    Lovely colour - so enticing.
    Bright gold moving to amber.
Pear drops and fruit salad (the sweet/ candy) and a waxy lanolin note, on the nose.
Sweet rush followed by a caramel note - like a luscious tart tatin.
Personally I like a bit more acidity on the finish.
I have a few more halves, should pair well with cheese and puddings.

April 11, 2022 - A bit more advanced than other bottles I have had of this. Smells of lanolin, honey and candied peel. Sweet, lush and layered in the mouth with good flavour intensity and a long finish, with a suggestion of mango and crème brulee.

April 2, 2022 - 30032022-private dinner by Chef W. Bottle courtesy of brother M. This was paired with the Pan Seared Rougie Perigord Foie Gras with Gula Melaka reduction. I’m not a big fan of sweet dessert wines but this is complex and not too overwhelming on the palate. Notes of honey, apricot, caramel and wet stone. Perhaps we drank this too young
