November 24, 2022 - Decanted about 3 hours. Nose was heaven from the time poured into the decanter and then continued until the end. Palate was outstanding with complexity, plenty of fruit in just the right amount, and very smooth. I could have kept my nose in the glass all night.

January 2, 2022 - Thanks Paul bringing this wonderful wine in his BD dinner. He opened this in 10 hours for serving and it did bring the best of bottle. A deep ruby color, shining noble nose of fruits and floral and minerals, wonderful palate of silky and mouthful feel. A beautiful rose in the wet forest! My WOTN!

June 4, 2019 - Jasper Musigny. Incredibly young, polished and antiseptically clean aromatics. Thick glycerol palate that could last 50-75 years.

April 17, 2018 - At Acker's Wine Workshop Chambolle-Musigny Terroir Tasting at the Michaelangelo NY. My WOTN. Not the best Pinot I've ever had but this had everything you look for in this terroir in spades: stunning perfume, rose and violets, fruit on the attack. If there is one thing marring a higher score it is that the finish was not as long as one would like. 94-95

April 10, 2018 - This nose is striking with perfumed red and black fruit, some dark, damp, and mineral rich soil developing, but mostly quite bold and primary. Coaxing yields some mild spice and softer berry intricacies. Blossomed considerably over two hours and is highly expressive and elegant now. On the palate this is delicious and has a wallop of ripe cherry and strawberry upfront with a soft feel and texture. Chai tea. Not mind blowing, but a quality example of Musigny.

December 16, 2009 - Simple Series I: Andrew's Birthday (Asia Grand, Odeon Towers): Fantastic wine even in its infancy. We all thought it was a 2000, including the bottle's owner, who popped this by mistake. Lucky us. Infanticide though it may be, this wine has clearly not shut down for the long haul yet. Nose was pure seduction. Super-perfumed with flowers, I got lavender and violets, along with rich dark cherries, kirsch and some dried earth. Not in your face though, this was subtle, gentle, and so very alluring. Palate, as one would expect, was tight. But boy, it was profound. Charming stewed cherries, touches of spice, impeccable balance, velvety but firm tannins. A complete, complete wine, and a real beauty at that. Finish was not as immediately powerful or intense as the Leroy Chamertin that followed, but like a good Musigny, it just unfolded, bit by alluring bit, becoming an expanse of lovely red fruited cherries in the mouth. This then is your proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. Check this space again in 25 years time, by which time this wine will be a ravishing beauty. I'm haunted by the memory of the wine even now. 95+

December 16, 2009 - Initial, the owner told us he's bringing a 00, but by mistake he pop this.. Gorgeous nose, what a lovely flowery and elegant nose....palate super with red fruits and the tannins so fine. Lucky this one not shut yet. But will evolve to a great one with aging.
