May 23, 2020 - Nice, not $400 nice. I picked this up on clearance in the PA stores a few years ago for $200 plus tax.

Bit of a mystery, but what I could get from my online search was its a vineyard(s) at around 1,900 ft elevation on Mt. Veeder, 3,000 bottles made, hefty price tag. Vineyards are apparently Wildcat and Saffron, but never heard of either. Cabernet with a bit of Cab Franc and Malbec, but unsure how much (my guess is not much given the tasting profile). Owner was big in the cigar world and was trying to create a cult wine with all his money. Hmm, haven't heard that before!

Probably better a few years ago. Nice silkiness, very luxurious, but moved to secondary flavors and had lost a bit of fruit. Actually reminded me a bit of a 2012 Bevan Wildfoote I had about a month ago. I think this would be good with a big juicy steak. Overall, a good experiment. Worth $400? No. Worth $200? Maybe 1-2 years ago.

March 4, 2017 - This was outstanding again. 3 hour decant. Drank along side a 2006 The Napa Valley Reserve and the Asura was far superior.

February 5, 2017 - Perhaps the best showing yet. Gave this some time to open up. After 2 hours this gained more weight and depth. Was incredibly focused with layers and layers of rich full bodied flavors. Blackberry, loganberry, plum, burnt oak and mesquite wood, smokey meats, mocha. Outstanding.

January 29, 2017 - I drank this again just to see if it was as good as I remember. For a 2012 it is unbelievably balanced and smooth. It is thinner in appearance with huge flavor profile. Very powerful. Cherries, cola, wet cedar, milk chocolate. Really nice but not $300 nice.

January 14, 2017 - Stupid smooth. I dont believe its a 2012. I would have guessed 2006 or older. Well integrated. Really awesome. Smoothest 2012 I have ever tasted. Tasted at Amore Ristorante Naples. Bought 3 bottles.
