July 4, 2019 - In a great spot right now.

May 10, 2019 - New World Tempranillo does not get much better. A generally overstated 'noble' variety (Portugal's Touriga Nacional outperforms it in every measurable category, IMO) this is varietally correct and poised. Holding form, but probably best before 2023-2025.

October 29, 2018 - So good. A rocks feel to the nose with smoke, funk, tobacco, olive, blueberries, violets and anise. Tastes like black cherry, plum, iron, brine, and anise. Medium full bodied, moderate tannins, and moderate acidity. Decanted for an hour got better with additional air.

March 29, 2017 - So this or next year will be the last of the Tempranillo. High tonned fruit, and black but lean.

January 19, 2017 - Red fruit, charred oak (lit cigar), and well structured. It has the substance to evolve over the next five to seven years, and while crowd-pleasing now, patience will be rewarded. 91-92.
