February 18, 2020 - Jun 2017: Had with pesto again. Works great with pesto, lots of zip and mineral, pairs well with other stuff as well.
2017: Had with pesto, went quite well. Thoroughly enjoyed.
2016: Minerally.
October 27, 2016 - A solid, medium bodied white. Real grapey. Sorry - already finished the bottle, so can't write a detailed review, but it was tasty.
October 9, 2016 - nice dry light wine, had it without food prior to rose tasting and was a delight to start the night
August 21, 2016 - easy summer white wine, paired with spaghetti and clams, white wine sauce and that was perfect
August 6, 2016 - Fresh wine with clear volcanic minerality. Also lemon and a hint of green apples on the nose. Medium-bodied with excellent acidity and good length. Nice!
June 15, 2016 - Pours pale lemon. Nice citrus and minerals on the palate with Med + acidity. Zippy and easy drinking with seafood pasta. 70 Carracante 30 Cattaratto
March 18, 2016 - A calm, even nose of slate, green apple and beeswax. It is bone, dry and textural. It ignites the tastebuds and is immediately saliva inducing. I love the way this wine refreshes and satiates. Terrific stuff.
February 27, 2016 - Light yellow-gold in the glass; nice crisp nose, saline notes, very "fresh".
Bright acidity, but somewhat one dimensional on the palate. Not bad, but nothing that really registers - the palate doesn't fulfill the promise the nose displays.
This is a blend of 70% Carricante and 30% Catarratto.
