May 4, 2014 - Well, Barbara McNamara gave it 100. Not someone you can say no too. Anyway, it is what mature Bordeaux should be. Pronounced nose of earth and forest floor with black cherry, current and graphite. A medium bodied wine that had acidity to match the flavors noted above. Good length with fine tannins that were fully integrated. Matched beautifully with the prime beef filets. Drink up!

February 5, 2013 - I decided upon this wine based upon past ratings and the drink schedule.
So it must have been time I thought. Decanted 2 hours and had with Beef stew, drank slowly for 2 more hours and have a glass left tonight.
If review changes I will make a further note tomorrow. My wife tried it and she thought it was a Pinotage !!
Still good red fruit and medium bodied and earthy. I found it a very pleasant drink. Likely past its prime though -

November 21, 2009 - Decanted 1 hour, but the wine did not taste particularly closed. A bit dissapointing overall, enjoyed it much more with food than without.

July 10, 2007 - This wine was picked by Nick who had the opportunity to pick anything from the wine fridge. An interesting choice consider we were having a fig and chicken risotto for a work get together. Not something I would have chosen but an inspired choice. Many of bottles I've had previously showed much better, probably due to the menu included a nice piece of beef that married it perfectly. Marjorie, after having a swig of her single barrel bourbon and diet Coke, declared it a 90 because she doesn't drink wine. Nick gave it a 85-88 because, as a general rule, he is not a fan of blends and he later realized that this was probably not the best wine for this risotto. Jenny gave it the overambitious 91 because she like it a lot and was drinking out of the really expensive Bordeaux glass. Colin, her recent addition, gave it an 89. While he enjoyed the flavor it was a bit strong. Me, an 88 and compared to a second date that only had a 50/50 chance of making it to a third.

January 10, 2007 - Decanted for 4-5 hours. Roasted meat, spice and forest floor on the nose. Didn't drink well alone, but really worked nicely with a nice strip steak. The wine has a salinity to it that compliments food very well. Other components include black fruit, slightly vegetal green notes. Quite clean.
