  December 19, 2020 - Decanted and poured pre dinner then took to the table to have with Beef Wellington and Ratatouilles along of a 2010 Château Duhart-Milon, I felt the Cab Franc did a better job with the meal. On its own, mostly red fruit, berry and spice up front but lacking a bit on the finish. By the time we got to the meal after an hour decant this had good acidity on the finish which paired well with the myriad of flavors in the beef dish and the tangy tomato sauce of the ratatouilles. Second time I've found the SVV Cab Franc to come through in this way. Solid wine.

  November 25, 2020 - Lovely wine, and I never tire of reading the stories on the back of the bottle of the pioneers of the Walla Walla Valley - from whom these wines sprung a hundred years later. The Franc is medium bodied, red fruit, roses and cocoa powder, with a hint of darker spice or fruit I can't quite place. A couple or three years on this will not hurt. Trust me.

  January 29, 2020 - much richer than my previous bottle. black pepper, spice and herbs on the nose. black and red fruit on the glide effortlessly on the palate. seems to have plenty of life left. 92+

  May 23, 2019 - very pinot like in both appearance and taste. very elegant CF. hoping for a bit more power. Previous vintages of this I've had were a bit more complex

  May 22, 2018 - Berry fruit, mushrooms, herbs, orange peel and other things. However a brown paper bag note brought disagreement about corked or not. I voted 'not'. Very good.
