Community Tasting Notes 10

October 1, 2020 - Still holding a nice perfumed cherry red nose, with a woody spice in the background. A light wine on the palate with refreshing acidity, the fruit just about holding. Has shown better in the last few years, drink before it's gone.

January 15, 2018 - Deep, dark, and serious. Concentrated dark fruit with good freshness and complexity. Quite a large scaled frame here however, this isn't one to sip casually. Best to pair this bruiser with a hearty meal.

December 8, 2017 - On the lighter, softer and less structured side of things. Mild tannic tap at the end of a blueberry-cranberry mouthful with the slightest menthol as it goes down. Beautiful violet and clean in the glass. Perfectly respectable, and good, but hard-pressed to endorse it further. Actually quite pure and gentle and pretty with a hint of structure but somehow doesn't quite get over a certain hump of excitement.

July 8, 2017 - Medium ruby with garnet hues. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, with tart black fruit, red cranberry fruit, black plum and some subtle spices due to the aging in French oak. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, with medium (+) acidity, medium tannins and medium (+) alcohol. This wine has a very nice, rounded mouthfeel, with medium flavor intensity and length. This is a pleasant, easy drinking wine which is drinking very well now and for the next several years.

February 2, 2017 - The nose showed dusty spices up front with crushed cherry, and woodsy tones. On the palate, i found lean textures with cherry, dried spices and hints of cedar. It finished clean and woodsy but altogether a pleasure to drink
