November 29, 2016 - We're were having a pretty strongly flavored Carribean chicken dish, something that needed a wine with spice, fruit, acid... well, this fit the bill. It even has a bit of tannin, probably from the Mourvedre. Sorry to see this go, but it was strong rose for a winter night. They will have more next year, I hope.
August 13, 2016 - A bit darker than most rose wines. Bright red strawberry fruit and spice but alcohol showing a touch and needs a bit more acid. My guess is this wine would have drank better a year ago. This is a heftier rose than the ones I usually drink but I can see the appeal, I just think it lacked a bit of freshness.
July 22, 2016 - This is a red drinker's rose, drank extremely well with Thai food.
June 6, 2016 - A nice wine but I continue to believe Rose's should be drunk up within one year. This lacks that freshness and brightness that makes Rose's so appealing on a summer evening. Deep translucent ruby in color. The nose is a bit vacant but shows some watermelons. More interesting on the palate with cherries and some strawberries. Good mouthfeel. Nice finish. Worked fine with some arugula salad (not an easy match).
May 26, 2016 - Wow, this really hits the spot on the second night of Summer in NYC. Substantial and precise, a really lovely wine.
May 6, 2016 - agree that it is on the heavy side for Rose, but super fresh and crisp with nice mineral edge. liked it a lot.
