April 22, 2021 - 3 years since last tasting this. Bottle is perfectly cellared and sound. With no breakage in cork nor any streaks on the side of the cork.
A beautiful little 21 year old right bank claret. On the nose, red meat juices, red berries with the oak well integrated with lots of terroir. Colour is an aged brownish brick red. The palette is delicate and well balanced. Lovely bordeaux. Greatly enjoying this one. I remember last time I enjoyed it but believe it’s improved 3 years later. In a perfect drinking window that still has time left. Great QPR. Paired tonight with Prime Rib and roasted veggies (Herbs de Provence).
It’s too bad others didn’t enjoy this as much as I did. Thankful to have a few more bottles. Nicely made and aging well.

J'avais callé morte avant même que la bouteille ne soit ouverte...
le couple d'amis était déçu car ils n'on même pas fini leur verre.
Du jus de feuille et de terre, ça beau plaire une fois de temps en temps
mais moi je trippe pas...j'en vois encore qui s'esclaffe en mentionnant
que "ahhh...c'est une belle expérience de gouter un vieux vin de 20 ans"
...moi je répète que c'est de l'argent jeté par les fenêtres...même si ici
on parle de seulement 30$...un très mauvais RQP dans mon livre
quand tu ne termine même pas ton verre!!!
September 22, 2019 - This was the last bottle of this one. Ever. And I'll never look back to it hahaha. This is a prime experience of a wine that was too crappy to begin with to ever age.
If you still come across this one: STAY AWAY!
February 19, 2019 - Bu chez un copain...elle venait d'être ouverte,
ce qui lui a donné un chance car la fin de la bouteille était fanée
et morte.
Encore un peu de fruit, feuilles et sous-bois avec des champignons
encore pas mal tertiaire, j'aime de moins en moins ce genre,
le pire est que nous étions 3 et au premier nez les 3 avons mentionné
le vin est mort et tetrtiaire!
February 18, 2019 - Wonderful nose. Medium body with medium finish. Good complexity. Aged gracefully but I would not leave much longer as its likely to diminish.

car c'est pas mal fanné et mince...peu de fruit, peu de tannins, un peu
d'acidité et beaucoup de tertiaire...hummus,
feuilles mortes, champignons, terre humides...the
usual suspects qui disait...une belle expérience
les vins avec de l'âge...NOT!!!
September 15, 2018 - It’s been almost 2 years since my last bottle of the 2000 Château Langlais. Having read other’s experiences and reviews I decided to open another bottle.
On this evening I didn’t decant. The cork was structurally sound. Still some elasticity. There was a streak of wine that stopped about halfway down the cork.
On the nose: pencil, orange peel, earth, tobacco and red meat.
On the palette: a fully mature right bank bordeaux wine. Still slight grippy tannins. Orange peel, graphite, earth. Fruit is now secondary but such a fantastic and interesting wine. Excellent QPR and so happy to have a few more bottles of this little chateau. Thoroughly enjoying this wine and still sipping as I’m writing. I’m confident this can still last another few more years. 90 pts.

June 18, 2018 - Le bouchon n'a aucun problème à sortir.
Le nez est bien beau, sur le fruit.
En bouche,le fruit est présent mais clairement sur le déclin.
N'est pas oxydé ,pas tertiaire.Juste sans goût ou presque.
La belle-famille semble avoir apprécié.

June 15, 2018 - Pas défectueux mais complètement fané et tertiaire, pas de fruit et pas de tannins, encore un peu d'acidité. Mince et court.
