March 3, 2024 - Very fine. Drunk at cellar temp, warming to room temp, from the bottle. More expressive after 20-30 minutes with air.
Rich, lightly nutty aromas of banana and ripe papaya, and fine wild honey. Substaintial wine, with satisfying heft and richness, yet lively. Very neutral oak.

Drunk with two courses. First, a lightly smoked ruby trout over mustard greens with poppy seed vinagrette. Second (main), seared scallops over risotto with hedgehog mushrooms & pecorino.
Very good pairing with both. Sweet, earthy mushrooms expressed more tropical fruits in the wine.

February 17, 2024 - Drinking fantastically now, but has the potential to turn into something amazing.

    December 30, 2021 - Intense gold
N: m int, ripe quince, apples and pears, lightly honeyed, white blossom, marzipan
P: m- acid, m int, hazelnut, apples and pears, floral, earth, vanilla

Peak drinking now, density not devoid of restraint, lovely experience. Well supported but not flabby, lingers for minutes

July 14, 2021 - Rich and sumptuous, this was a pretty tough blind. A fair amount of barrel toast. Pretty bright and citric but N.Rhone standards to be sure. Tropical profile with pineapple and peach. Oily viscosity on the palate. This bottle showed a bit of tertiary notes as well. We thought maybe 2011z A pretty stately wine and a fabulous value if you purchased and held this baby.
