July 23, 2023 - Jim & Michelene's wine at on Ciao Bella outstanding patio in Bloomington Mn. Not sure I've ever had Chablis from the Beugnons 1er Cru site before?? This was pretty intense & concentrated w/ mouthcoating flavor and acidity. Perhaps could stand a little more finesse making for a intersting contrast w/ its '06 flight mate Gary's '06 Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet's shear elegance & aged class. That said, taken in its own terms absent the Defaix this is dam tasty Chablis! Our other table of 7 shared a big gun chardonnay from California that was lovely & fun to try but I loved both our Chablis a good margin more. 91+

June 24, 2023 - This is excellent: pronounced aromas and flavors; wonderfully balanced fresh fruits and acidity; complex terrior inspired profile; and a very long finish. According to the producer website, this is fermented through the process of ML (malolactic fermentation) in concrete eggs and then aged on its lees with micro-oxygenation inherent from the concrete.

Reflects a clear, medium lemon color. Immediately noticeable as a high quality Chablis with its flinty minerality, green citrus and green apple aromas, transitioning on the palate into fresh tart lime, sour green apple, crunchy pears, and ripe green melon, all buoyed with a steely minerality, salty seashells, and fresh acidity. Finishes very strong. Drink now through 2029.

April 8, 2023 - In good shape and mature in a good way - plenty of fruit but probably wouldn’t want to risk aging much longer - probably a few more years left. Very good.

October 17, 2021 - Monthly Tasting Group: Chardonnay (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Pale green color. Drank a glass over 2 hours. Oyster minerals, nice salinity, full bodied and pungent seashore aromas, a little veg thing, lemon lime and a touch of tangerine, rather linear and driven. Impressive, drinking really well. 92+pts.

July 24, 2021 - Very good right now. Seems at peak. I would not hold much longer despite the CT consensus drinking window.
