September 30, 2017 - Medium yellow in color. Ripe peaches, apricots, melted butter, vanilla cream and honey-comb on the nose. A rich and viscous palate reveals very ripe and sweet peach/apricot jam, vanilla creme brûlée and a long honeyed finish. The wine lacks enough acidity (at least for me) to keep it exciting.

September 5, 2017 - smooth, light finish for a desert wine. Excellent finish to a fine meal.

August 1, 2017 - Pleasant and well-rounded, nothing awry. Has a slightly dark profile and is missing a bit of intensity. Has a rich honey tone, a slight bit of apricot and lemon. Would benefit from a bit more zing. I still find it nicer than '05 Suduiraut though; In general, the '05 Sauternes vintage feels below average to me.

June 4, 2017 - From 375 ml. Unsurprisingly nearly identical notes to my prior bottle of only six months ago. Honey, caramel and nuts on the nose. Deep and rich honey and tropical notes upfront (lots of pineapple and orange). Great back half where the wine brings in more tart notes of lemon and baked apple. Richness and density through the middle are both impressive and show that this wine has many years to go. Finishes with vanilla cream, honey and nuts. Showed noticeably better when it had warmed back up as opposed to initially chilled. Fruit was much more expressive, the wine felt both deeper and more complete and showed smoother transitions. This should continue to improve over the next few years and I'll certainly be in the market for more.

May 11, 2017 - Happy Birthday Kevin! (Kevin and Vicki's House): What a great end to a fantastic tasting. My wife's favorite white (??!!) but I did also score it quite high. Spicy, fruit, floral, great integration and balance. In other words, thsi is all that and a bag of chips for a Sauternes at this moment in time. Drinking great from a 750 right now.

(Chateau La Tour Blanche Sauternes) This too is very appealing, with plenty of fresh honey and vanilla aroma to be found on the nose. Rich but quite direct in style, creamy and lusciously textured, with a wealth of vanilla and spice flavour. A good presence of acidity too, to provide some lift and balance. This perhaps has really excellent potential.
