Community Tasting Notes 23

November 24, 2019 - Solid and full bodied Bordeaux. Dry with some intensity and heavy dark fruits with notes of licorice and blackberry. Well structured with mild mid palate acidity and soft tannin on the extended finish. Intensity and dryness are dominant.

April 19, 2019 - Pop & poured. This wine really opened up over about 3 hours. Very nice balance. No reason to hold. Wish I had more.

December 6, 2017 - Decent with some life left. Standard right bank Bordeaux flavors. Been a while since I drank it. Will leave better notes with next bottle.

June 6, 2017 - Ripe, mellow and a bit sweet with a touch of tobacco on the nose. Merlot shows as well as the good vintage. Can actually hold this for some more years for it to become more streamlined and fine.

June 29, 2016 - Presented itself very much like a wine from Margaux. No question this punches above its weight. While still young, this has the weight and balance to drink well now. The tannins are quite round and unobtrusive. The nose exhibits lots of tobacco, along with black currant, cedar, green pepper, and white flowers. Medium weight on the palate. You can really sense some nice complexity here, but if it lacking anywhere, it is in the finish. The length is a bit short, and the acidity is not quite where it should be. Overall, this is an excellent value. We saved some for another day, and it was actually smoother and more poised on the second day. A definite value buy.
