February 26, 2020 - Next to some Vougeraie NSG 2015, this is a mind bender. Similar kernel to the nose, more layered herbal character to the nose. Has a light pepperiness and calling to mind some Canary Island reds. Nose isn’t massive, and has room to contemplate. Palate is more generously textured. Red cherry fruit, medium tannin, some lightly red medicinal note. Spiced cherry cough drop perhaps. LOTS to like.

December 18, 2019 - Light and fresh, you can definitely see the burgundy winemaking influence. Red fruited, mineral, stone. Medium plus bodied, but lots of room to move around. Still, seriously structured, but not in a MASSIVE way. Excellent.

August 9, 2019 - Decanted four hours and still tight. Very fine now, but in 3-5 years should be terrific. Very much in the style of Mounir’s Burgundies.

June 7, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Expressive nose displaying opulent jammy red fruit, cherry liqueur, strawberry jam, incense, dark spices, a hint of garrique, black pepper and limestone. Excellent concentration, nicely layered intense red fruit, silky and polished, good acidity and mineral, and a long sweet red fruit driven finish. This is a big scale but nicely balanced CDP.

October 26, 2017 - Excellent notes of sweet red cherries/kirsch, sweet raspberry, some Asian spices, some bright floral tones and minerality also some pepper notes. It's full-bodied, dense but still with surprisingly high acidity providing a lot of tension and freshness. Medium+ tannin. Excellent length. A superb Châteauneuf-du-Pape that combines the Southern Rhône Grenache with an incredible freshness and tension and a Burgundian texture.

August 18, 2017 - I totally agree with the tasting note of Nostrabacchus. It's like a burgundy style C9P. The winemaker also produces wine in burgundy! Brilliant

March 8, 2017 - Lucien Le Moine Tasting with Mounir Saouma (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Open 2 hours before tasting. Black and red cherry with plenty of earth for wine so young. Hmmm. Lots of reduction. All 13 varietals. All 5 CDP villages. All modes of fermentation and aging. More interesting than tasty?

March 8, 2017 - North exposed vineyard Monica means all. Ominia rather. Five villages and 13 varieties. Hence all. Cemented and oak. Concerte egg. 2013 was fresh and warm weather gives you the herbaceous smoke. Fresh texture is the challenge.

Whole cluster in tank, 7 days nothing, no touch, no punch, no pump over. 24 months no racking.

Magis something from a dream. 1942 planted Grenache. Northern part and sandy soil and galley. 14 day maceration. 36 months no racking.

March 9, 2016 - Jumps out of the glass with sweet red cherries/kirsch, sweet raspberry, some Asian spices, some bright floral tones and minerality. It's full-bodied, dense but then there is this surprisingly high vein of high acidity providing a lot of tension and freshness. Medium+ tannin. Excellent length. A super fascinating Châteauneuf-du-Pape that combines the sweetness of concentrated Southern Rhône Grenache with an incredible freshness and tension.
