February 18, 2017 - Very nicely done. 13.5 % alcohol with a lovely balance betwixt tropical citrusy fruit and acid. Pineapple, melon, honey and wet stone on the nose. Palate leads with citrus, tropical fruit, minerals and rock. Nice lengthy finish. A nice, balanced wine from Mike that's drinking well right now and has the body to improve for at least three to five years and drink well another three to five after that. Enjoyed a lot. (Drinking overlooking the ocean from balcony!)

August 19, 2016 - Damn, this is good. Just a perfect combination of depth, character and drinkability for me.

July 2, 2016 - Opened for lunch in NY. Consistent with the '13 SB, it is a 'young' version of it. This time, we gave it some more decanting time, which allowed the floral nose and full rounded taste to open up (about 1.5-2 hours). Like in the last tasting, it's 'crispy' so to speak compared with the '13. The house have voted pretty clear on the bottle, with two refills. The remaining nose and floral notes are like the ones in late may, and the only additional feedback to offer would be to give it a decanting. It does bring good results! (92+)
