December 12, 2015 - Enjoyed at the tasting room in Napa. I always enjoy this cool climate Syrah sourced from the Hyde Vineyard in Carneros. Medium plus bodied, and very dark, almost black color. Smokey dark berries, dark spicy plums, juicy dark cherries, and lots of damp, wet earth in the background. Great finish. Balanced, elegant and classy.

October 9, 2015 - Qui l'eut cru : une Syrah californienne élégante.
12,5% d'alcool
Un nez à se confondre avec un grand Rhône Nord.
Bouche délicate, peut-être un peu creuse en milieu, mais l'ensemble est d'un très bel équilibre où la matière est belle sans être excessive, avec de l'acidité pour balancer, et un heureux taux d'alcool.
Et susceptible de se bonifier après un bref séjour en cave.
Malheureusement, le prix est excessif.
