December 24, 2017 - The wine is deep purple. The nose is a bit subdued, but there are hints of dark fruit, a bit earthy as well as obvious oak. The palette is equally subdued with dark fruit in evidence, but the overriding note is bitterness. The wine is astringent, chalky. The medium finish is a bit wishy washy, bitter and oaky.

June 9, 2017 - This is not your average Barossa Shiraz. This being a dry grown, was expecting a fruit bomb but this was surprisingly subdued. In fact if it didn't have Barrosa on the label, I would have picked it as a McLaren Vale wine. Has earthy notes and red cherry. No acid and very smooth. A disappointment actually. Unfortunately I have another bottle in my cellar. Anyone want a giveaway?
