September 8, 2021 - This wine has help up nicely. Still quite youthful and loaded with rich black fruit. Tannins are soft and well integrated leaving a very nice finish. Well done Lisa.

September 6, 2021 - This is one of those unusual bedfellow wines that work, combining beautiful florals with somewhat raw earthiness in ways that defy and find harmony. The nose wafts sweet tobacco, tanned leather, cherry compote, chocolate pudding, thyme, and violet. The full bodied palate has juicy and acidic and dense tannin. The flavor profile includes mountain strawberry, boysenberry, lilac, chocolate covered raisin, and pipe tobacco. This is really enjoyable stuff that seems to be entering a prime window that ought to last a year or three.

June 9, 2021 - I agree with THEBIGBABY. This wine is in a good spot and at its best. Smooth with nice fruit and a long finish. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

April 10, 2021 - Absolutely love the nose on this wine. Sensual and inviting. The cab franc is front and center on the palate now with zippy, spicy finish. Not sure I would wait much longer. Feels like it is right in the wheelhouse right now. Enjoy!

November 15, 2020 - It a good spot now, with plenty of life left in it. Still dark in the glass, but getting lighter on the edges. Fragrant nose of of plums and vanilla. Has a a real nice balance and initially the Cab Sauv dominates the palate, with hints of the Cab Franc on both the nose and the through the medium finish. However, after a few hours of breathing the Cab Franc takes over. Very enjoyable.

    Full Pull Baer Pair, 10/30/2017

(Baer Arctos) Hello friends. We have fantastic pricing today on a pair of wines from the outstanding Baer Winery, wines that are normally offered at a $43 release price. It took a combination of several factors – our willingness to commit to a significant quantity, my wanting to push our TPU discount a little deeper than normal – to hit our TPU tag today, and I think our list members will be enormously pleased. These are wines that deliver great pleasure and over-deliver even at their normal tariff in the $40s. At our pricing today, it’s back-up-the-truck time. Anyone looking for holiday gifts that look (and drink) like $60 bottles should pay careful attention today. For a good primer on this winery, whose story is one of tragedy and renewal, I recommend Andy Perdue’s article from August 2015 in Great Northwest Wine. Another important note is that all Baer wines are 100% from Stillwater Creek Vineyard. Now, onto the wines:See key for # of bottles currently available.
