January 8, 2024 - Fin begynnande mognad, inte så intensiva bubblor, inte så rent avslut som jag föredrar, balanserad syra, ingen överdriven autolys, brioche, mandel.

Var sannolikt bättre för ett par år sen. Drick nu.

    March 24, 2018 - (Disgorged in March of 2016, 100% Chardonnay, dosage 6 gr/l)
Light yellow colour with a greenish hue and a stream of fine bubbles. This is first an explosion of bakery with fresh bread and then opens up a bit with hazelnuts, citrus and minerals. Palate shows fresh and intense acidity with yellow apples, maybe a bit thin on the middle, before the very long mandarin peel finish. This is still very youthful and with lots of hidden underneath all the fatty and creamy notes and I believe this will evolve very well over the coming decades. Best 2021-2041.

July 5, 2017 - Very nice to see this at Vino Volo in Oakland for almost no mark up. A sweet note at 1st with plenty of brioche, oyster shell and sea foam, some elderberry, chalk a touch of white pepper. As with all Pol Roger champagne's I've had it's pure luxury.

December 2, 2016 - Christmas Dinner Søllerød 2016 (Søllerød Kro): Being the house wine of KM, this is not exactly the first time, I taste this, but it was interesting to taste it just the day after the 2004, this is much, much younger showingen, more mineral, vibrant and elegant. Domionated now by citrus notes and some lingering butter, I think this has a long life ahead.

    April 27, 2016 - Tasted at Munskänkarna Göteborg, Champagne-class session 2, flight 2.

Rich, creamy and very fresh. Clear notes of herbs and stonedust. On the palate medium+ bodied, with lots of ripe apples, Cream, newly baked bread and warm grass. Lovely balancing acidity, long and complex. Can last for a decade!

Youthful nose showing citrus, minerals and flowers. Smooth palate showing black current and with a very nice long finish. Very good already, but needs long time to open up into its tertiary notes. Best 2016-2031.

September 23, 2015 - On the nose lots of green and yellow apples, some yeast, orange peel and a touch of mandarin orange.

Dry with medium+ acidity, quite generous fruit, medium body and a slight tartness. Medium intensity and a medium finish with a rather tart and dry finish.

Quite tasty, but very boring. At least I ended up guessing Champagne :)

September 21, 2015 - Clear, pale intensity, lemon color.

The nose is youthful with a medium intensity. Aromas of lemon, yellow apple, autolysis - yeast, toasted white bread, biscuit and a hint of nuts. Pretty much standard Champagne nose.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity, medium(-) body and medium intensity, Flavors of green pear, yellow apple, slight unripe tropical fruit, autolysis - yeast and biscuits. The finish is medium with a bit zesty feeling to it.

Wow this is boring. Called this some new world méthode traditionnelle bubbles since it lacks the sharpness and intensity that you should expect from Champagne with this price tag. Will only get better with cellaring.
