April 12, 2024 - PnP. My last bottle. Nose is still red berry and cherry. There are more earthy and forest floor notes under the fruit, as well as some baking spice and brown spice. Took about 45 minutes to really open. The palate has similar flavors. On opening there were still some chalky tannins, but they recede as it opens. Medium body, medium acidity, still has some tannins in the finish. This is really lovely. If I had more I might hold a couple more years to see where it goes. It seems mature, but at 10 years old, it doesn't seem like it's in decline at this point. So drink or hold, but if you have some check in on it in the next couple of years to see where it's at. This is the entry level wine for this producer, but it shows that Oregon pinots from good producers can easily go 10+ years, even at the lower end.

    April 12, 2024 - Pop and pour.
    Grassl cru stem.
    Light ruby color.
Nice earthy nose with some dried red fruit and wet earth.
Dark fruit profile with an earthy bass note. Shows some oxidative features.
Perhaps past its prime as it shows an earthy savory profile.

October 2, 2023 - Nice WV pinot, very well put together, nice cherry fruit with some soil and leafy tones adding interest. Not showing much in the way of age, so no hurry it still has plenty of life ahead.

July 30, 2023 - Ripe strawberry in the nose and in the mouth, some slight bits of tertiary (leatheriness?), tannings are soft, decent little pop of acidity on the finish. Another year... pure prettiness.
