November 19, 2022 - So balanced! The fruit is pure and lively, tannins have rounded edges and the acidity is balanced and refreshing. The complexity of the beef, pepper, charcoal, graphite and pepper tones is just delightful. The mouthfeel is something else.

September 13, 2022 - No formal notes, drank with friends. Big wine, but complex and even a slight bit delicate. Structure is on point right now and really nicely balanced, I'd wager this has nowhere to go but downhill beginning in 2024.

May 1, 2022 - Loved this big Syrah. Drank another ‘13 Washington Syrah from B. Leighton. Good year!

January 14, 2022 - high quality syrah in a really good spot right now. fruit is still evident and clear and the secondary flavors have now come out a bit giving the fruit a nice framing and supporting the long-ish finish

January 1, 2022 - Delightful Syrah from the Les Collines vineyard (mostly). Soft, pliant, and floral. Violets, spice, some tar and gamey meats on the nose. Lush, soft tannins and no hard edges whatsoever with some raspberry, more spice and smoke and long finish of black pepper and minerals. A really nice Syrah that will continue to evolve for another few years and plateau for a few more. Really lovely.
