  January 13, 2021 - First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served blind.
  Sweet, jammy fruit backed by a little savoury spice and alcohol warmth. In the mouth it's juicy, savoury, slight alcohol warmth, plenty of grippy tannins are drying similar fruit. Hmm
  Struggled with this, found it quite anonymous, went with France, southern rhone blend but from Languedoc-Roussillon 2015

  August 1, 2017 - 2017 International Wine Fair hosted by Dynamic wines. (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): Stalky but also almost jammy black fruit, spice over slightly confected fruit,…it's spicy, stalky, tannins close things down, fruit doesn't persist.

  June 13, 2017 - Moncur Syrah/Shiraz (Bistro Moncur, Sydney): stalks, slightly oxidised and earthy aromas mask some pretty and perfumed dark fruit. On the palate it's a little sharp with drying tannins. Meh.

  September 22, 2016 - A really great medium bodied Victorian shiraz. Full of smoky, bacon bits, along with boysenberry, raspberry, pepper, clove. Medium plus length with fine tannins. The only let down for me was a slightly jarring, lemony acidity. It just didn't sit well within the wine. But it's only a slight distraction on what is a top notch drink.
