June 24, 2022 - Not much on the nose out of the cellar. Alcohol and leather is the predominant aromas. But oh on the palate! Low to medium acid & balanced tannins. Slightly dry with a long finish of spice and a mellow snap. 60% Syrah; 22 Merlot; 18% Cabernet Sauvignon. Only becomes more beautiful as it breaths. Enjoy with those who appreciate your good taste in wine. :)
February 8, 2021 - Pure. Clean. Deep dark fruits. But huge and overpowering. A little unbalanced, but the purity of fruit carries it into the 90 point zone.
November 22, 2020 - Tons of red licorice on the nose. Sweet dark cherry lingers on the finish with a good dose of oak and pepper. Drink through 2024.
October 8, 2020 - The wine looks violet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, fig, blackberry, blueberry, black currant (cassis), mushroom, forest floor, dust, medium toast, vanilla, black pepper and clove. It tastes like blueberry, blackberry, fig, prune, raisin, medium toast, cedar, vanilla, clove, black pepper, tobacco and tea. The body is full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
July 29, 2020 - Spicy, high alcohol, dark fruit. Could use more sense of style but knew that coming in. High octane CA.
April 5, 2020 - Solid as always. Big Napa red but well balanced with a smooth, long finish. No sign of slowing down

April 20, 2018 - Super rich Syrah blend that is massively fruit forward with blackberry fruit, black currants, cocoa, mocha with a nice touch of baking spice on the finish. This is classic Lewis wine making with a massive 15%+ alcohol percentage but is silky smooth and wonderfully delicious to drink.
