  March 5, 2016 - An Evening at the Rock Pile-Trimbach Riesling and de Montille Volnay Taillepieds (San Francisco): Even ruby with little fading. Prune and VA. Light, lean, high acid, peppery black fruit, licorice, and incredible minerality. A brief, final gasp of sweeter fruit, and then it disintegrated. Definitely old school de Montille on its last leg.

  July 27, 2015 - A really nice showing with excellent balance and precision, lovely, tart, fruit, alas slightly onedemimensional with a rather dominating taste of licorice. Best with food.

  En skikkelig sniffer.
  Stor intensitet med kjøttfulle bringebær på duft.
  En ren og elegant nese.
  Det så smooth og ren munnfølelse.
  Flott konsentrasjon og struktur er på på plass. Bare ungdommen!
  Lang fast finish med fine tanniner.
