March 5, 2016 - An Evening at the Rock Pile-Trimbach Riesling and de Montille Volnay Taillepieds (San Francisco): Even ruby with little fading. Prune and VA. Light, lean, high acid, peppery black fruit, licorice, and incredible minerality. A brief, final gasp of sweeter fruit, and then it disintegrated. Definitely old school de Montille on its last leg.

November 14, 2015 - Meaty, earthy nose. Quite lean on the mid-palate, gravelly, earthy mid-length finish, dusty tannins. Fruit still holding it all in balance... just. Light, not particularly complex but still fresh, balanced and enjoyable mature burg.

July 27, 2015 - A really nice showing with excellent balance and precision, lovely, tart, fruit, alas slightly onedemimensional with a rather dominating taste of licorice. Best with food.
I would say time to drink, but no sign of age.

November 29, 2014 - This is all u can imagine of a great mature red burgundy. Very classy wine. Perfect. Wish I had more.

    November 23, 2014 - Wow!
    En skikkelig sniffer.
Stor intensitet med kjøttfulle bringebær på duft.
    En ren og elegant nese.
Det så smooth og ren munnfølelse.
Flott konsentrasjon og struktur er på på plass. Bare ungdommen!
Lang fast finish med fine tanniner.
