February 10, 2023 - Dark, dense black with a thin light hue. Dusty aroma of sawdust, varnish, dark berries, forest and grilled meat. Not sure of the alcohol level but definite comes out in the aroma. Smooth, milk chocolate, plum, blueberry. Medium body, tannin isn’t obvious. Balanced acidity. Has aged quite well but I don’t think you should wait too much longer. Drinking very well now.

February 8, 2021 - Black purple colour, deep dense core with a dirty light hue. Medium aroma, dry and sweet, sweet spice and stewed plum. Full body, lovely mouthful, fresh black fruit. Plum, black currant, raspberries. Light pepper, milk chocolate. Creamy tannin, well balanced, balanced acidity. The wine has no sour or bitter spots, so even in flavour, from start to the medium length finish. Fantastic wine, with so much more potential. I see it improving over the next few years and am looking forward to it.

November 7, 2019 - A bit green. Cellared this bottle and was looking forward to it, but was a bit disappointed even after aerating the wine.

November 5, 2018 - Black crimson colour. Light aroma. Blackberry, blueberry, black cherry. Turmeric and dark chocolate, eucalyptus finish. Medium body, medium finish. Chewy chocolate tannin, fresh acidity. A well balanced wine with the right balance of structure and fruit. I think this would do best as a medium term wine, in the next 5 years. It would be a shame to loss that flavour.

June 18, 2016 - Needs some time? Carefully decanted this one and perhaps the last 2 glasses came good over three hours. The 2014 vintage for Hunter Valley reds is apparently the best in 50 years, so perhaps it's best to respect that and grant some peace in the cellar for them?
