August 8, 2022 - This is wine as absolutely nothing to complain about. It's a mainstream red wine delicious in every way. However, I have to admit I expected more considering the hype. The point is, this doesn't surprised me, like some great Bordeauxs or Tuscans have done, for example. Drink now or hold.

Expressivo e complexo no nariz, exibiu frutas mistas maduras, compota, aromas florais, eucalipto, especiarias picantes, café, caramelo, chocolate, cedro. Em boca é envolvente, suculento, taninos de luxo, encorpado, final guloso e muito persistente. Em belíssima forma e com todos os predicados para crescer na adega.

May 15, 2017 - Portuguese Masterclass: Red Varietals (Lisbon, Portugal): Grape: Classical Alentejo blend – Trincadeira and Aragonez
    Wine: Pêra-Manca 2011 Region: Alentejo
    Main features:
 One of the most famous red wines in Portugal, sells like crazy in Angola and Brazil. Always very expensive, rare and speculated. Only made in best years (3 to 4 each decade)
 First release 1990 (the label is much older)
 Always the some two varieties, only differs in proportion, according to the climate of the year. Vineyards must be over 30 y old
 Granitic soil. High alcohol content: 15%
 Fermentation in big new wood vats and ages in French tonel
 Also ages in bottle before released
     30 000 bottles produced

Nose shows old wood (surprisingly). Palate seems hot, jammy a bit, with insane length. Chocolate almost on the palate. Heat that was alluded to on the attack never really manifests, quite an accomplishment for a 15% ABV. Silky fine tannins that still bite and are quite drying. This wine is clearly not for me--not my style.
