February 23, 2024 - I think this is my third time with this wine and it continues to show quite well. Good energy on the entry with vg length and the rs in a place that lets one focus on the story the wine has to tell vs just a sugar blast to the palate. Color and fill vg, fwiw. Some years ahead, but no reason to wait. Delicious. 11,9% abv. Easily recommended
September 22, 2023 - Wonderful sticky that really zings. Really loved this with a pear-frangipane tart. So much acidity and verve, with lemon confit, apricots and a bit of toasted almond.
August 21, 2020 - Perfect cork, with a few tartrate crystals built up in the neck. Honey golden In color. Lovely rich texture, crazy acidity and medium sweetness. Lemon marmalade, spiced dried fruit, and honeycomb. Mellow finish that caresses the palate like a warm blanket on a cold fall day. Not the most complex dessert wine but very enjoyable and moreish. Don’t think it’s going to improve but not declining any time soon.
December 3, 2017 - Delicious, wish I had more than a half bottle and more total bottles.
July 28, 2017 - Excellent foil for key lime pie, the sugar and acidity match perfectly.
November 1, 2016 - I've always liked these, but they increasingly come across as having unreal acidity that nearly covers up the ample residual sugar. Plenty of exotic tropical character, but not a great pairing to pumpkin pie.
October 30, 2016 - Great nose-fresh oil paint, tropical papaya conglomerate. Slow, but impressive development. While it isn't as intense as other dessert wines, the balance and precision pull you in. Recognizable Gewurztraminer spiciness. Williams Selyem is a class act.
February 13, 2016 - Fresh and blisteringly acidic, saturn peaches, pineapple, tartaric, lovely.
February 11, 2016 - Lovely and intense as always. Showing a bit drier than I recall, this is more about intense acidity and citrus fruit than sweetness. Very fragrant, love this stuff.
January 15, 2016 - Tasty as always, richly spiced, canned peaches, pure and sweet.
