December 13, 2021 - Pleasant, but not up to the expectations I had for Sebastiani, Alexander Valley.
January 5, 2020 - The 2012 took 2 days to open. The 2013 should be good late 2020. The 2013 bottle in February 2021 is delicious.
August 17, 2019 - Throwing a lot of sediment. As noted in a previous review: "Intense cassis fruit up front with leather and wood, touch of alcohol (14.7%) in the mid-range, and a good, moderately long finish." Should hold and improve for 10 years or more.
January 14, 2019 - This is my second bottle of this wine, the first this year. Intense cassis fruit up front with leather and wood, touch of alcohol (14.7%) in the mid-range, and a good, moderately long finish. Double decanted about an hour before serving and served with grilled T-bone steak. This is a very good Sebastiani Cabernet that I had previously rated at 88 in 2017. The Wine Advocate initially gave it 92 points, which is probably about right when it evolves a bit more.
January 5, 2019 - Fairly typical offering from Alexander Valley. Lots of red fruit, raspberry and cherry with a hint of pepper and spice. A little too much vanilla on the finish for me but a solid wine at a decent ($35) price point.
April 26, 2018 - PnP - classic Cali Cab nose - lots of dark red fruit (cassis, etc) with a some spice and sweet vanilla. Fruit and vanilla on the palate. This wine is almost too soft from some heavy handed oak. Would like a little more complexity and a little more racy acidity and a tannic grip on the finish. Very smooth product. Will please the mainstream Cali Cab crowd.
April 10, 2018 - A really nice wine. Dark ink in color. Medium body with nice tannins and good blend of acidity. Mid palate dark fruit with cassis and chocolate.
The finish is medium.
March 18, 2018 - Big cab for Alex Valley. Deep color, Soft tannins, fruit, excellent aftertaste

August 31, 2017 - Very nice wine from a great AVA. Sebastiani has always done great wine from the Alexander Valley. Dark fruit (blueberry, marionberry) with a tiny bit of bite and pepper on the end. Love this wine, especially great QPR.
