Community Tasting Notes 2

July 3, 2017 - Different and delicious! Plenty of ripe, rich, dark fruit with great depth, and a slightly rough, chalky texture. Somewhat rustic and "unkept" in character with a lot of grip and structure, and some rough edges. This is not your typical, "Sideways" merlot. More like a Clint Eastwood or Lee Marvin version

February 26, 2016 - Great nose on this wine. Looks more like a barrel sample than a glass from a bottle as it still has that bright, red/purple grape color. While still primary and not yet integrated, it has nice flavors with good depth and some earthy and spicy complexity. Bright, almost sharp acidity and a short finish. Takes on body and depth with some airtime. Visited the winery and met Oded (winemaker/owner) last year -- great tasting experience!
