March 31, 2024 - Incredibly balanced wine with cherry notes and a long elegant finish. Perfectly paired with chicken with apricot and ginger sauce. Wish this was not my last bottle.

February 5, 2024 - So much dill and oak upon opening, still young as heck. Was truly shining after nearly 3 hours of decanting. Terrific value.

December 9, 2023 - Fabulous and powerful Rioja that was a hit of the evening. Old style acidity with vanilla followed by fruit and a long finish. Well done!

Pronounced aromas of vanilla, coconut, nutmeg, cinnamon, tart red cherry, blackberry, strawberry, boysenberry, ripe black plum, dried lavender, roses, forest floor, leather, dried oregano, dried basil, yogurt.
Pronounced palate.
Medium (+) body, high acidity, medium (+) tannins, long finish.
July 24, 2023 - Superb. Power and finesse, a beautiful wine.
May 17, 2023 - Flighted with the 2007 CUNA Gran Reserva. Compared to the CUNA, the Alta was muted and appeared stripped of its' personality. On the nose I initially suspected it may be corked but on the palate it was fine. If it wasn't my bottle I'd question storage but I've had this since release and kept at controled 57 deg temp.
