September 26, 2018 - Strangely enough I didn't notice any oak five years ago - perhaps I was just numbed by so much elsewhere. Now, the oak is dominant, so lots of toasted vanilla around on the nose and in the flavours. The fruit is a little overdone, so the transition from primary to secondary flavours has not fully worked. It's not a bad wine - still full-bodied with a certain creaminess and good citrus notes on the finish and if you like the style which was prevalent at the time, you'll enjoy this.
But to me this tastes old-fashioned and a bit caricatural.

August 22, 2018 - At peak, drinking very well now. Some Weinstein is good sign for fine ageing. Best btl so far, no decant necessary. Up(g)rate!

June 15, 2017 - Very tasty bordeaux, approaching or at peak maturity. Olives, tobacco and earth with some dried red fruit, elegant and smooth.

April 22, 2016 - Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.

Out of a magnum. This was a very good, but not great bottle of wine. A bit better through the bottle. Guests certainly enjoyed it. Fairy typical entry-level Bordeaux. I have a few more, which I will drink in the short vs. long term.

November 4, 2015 - More enjoyable than the last bottle, due to my mood and food match.

Very ripe fruit in this Cru Bourgeois. Personally I think it's a bit too much, cooked fruit. If you prefer Bordeaux along this lines then you'll like it.

    Drink now.
