March 6, 2024 - Now that my expectations are set that this was a lighter, more elegant year - I enjoyed this more. Great floral flavors on the palette sitting on top of plum and cherry.

December 15, 2023 - WineBid purchase. While this bottle showed some of the typical Rocks Syrah characteristics, it was rather flat in the midpalate. Smooth as silk, but just nothing showing in the middle. Flavors of blackberry and plum, Rocks Funk, iodine, grilled beef, leather. Good, but not what I've come to expect from Matt (on literally EVERYTHING). Might be a poorly stored bottle as a previous taster stated...because a 2014 should be rocking right now.

December 3, 2023 - Not rating this. This was a winebid purchase and I'm starting to doubt the prior storage. Most of these have been light/elegant, but this was just gone. Little fruit, no meat.

August 9, 2023 - Bumped up a point from my last note (December 2022). There was an added mid-palate delicious earthy note and an added elegance to the wine since the last bottle.
