  March 21, 2018 - Rusty red color, very opaque.
  S: white pepper, petroleum, charcoal, very old leather bound book, rustic
  T: raisins, spicy black pepper, prunes
  
  Spicy drying tannins in the finish. Very dry. Definitely need to drink this now, if you have any, as it is past it’s prime. I doubt it will age any better over time.

  September 26, 2006 - Red with the edge just showing some orange and the centre deeper. Initially this is harsh with alcohol and white pepper on the nose and palate, there could be some cherryade and burnt vanilla as well but hidden. It is medium body with noticeable fine tannins. These linger leaving a slight mouth puckering long finish. I'm no sure whether there's enough fruit to stand some time to soften the tannins which is a shame as the actual strucutre isn't too bad and stood up to food well. Disappointing overall though for a riserva.
