September 14, 2016 - Opaque purplish red in the glass with legs, intense bouquet of lavender and dust, pepper and asian spices on the palate with black cherry. Tannins softening. Dry finish. Coming around, no need for more aging. I'm also noticing a bit of brett, giving a funky overlay to the bouquet. Good with food.

February 21, 2016 - It says 40% grenache, 40% syrah, 20% carignane, but it's the syrah that's leading the dance, at least right now. It's very dark red in the glass with legs, somewhat shy bouquet, floral and dust, pepper and asian spices on the palate with black cherry. Tannins still a bit assertive though softening. Dry finish. Came into its own the next day, previous notes are right: this one needs air (or time).
