October 18, 2023 - These have been fantastic wines - this one excellent but shy of the best, yet still lovely.

January 22, 2022 - Fantastic! Immediately upon opening at 4PM we could tell that the wine would smell great. Decanted 15 minutes before serving and it needed more time to unfold in the glass. it was well composed and tasted great immediately, but was a bit closed on the nose, but 45 minutes in it blossomed to show some exotic fruit and flowers, and a with a lovely broadness and intensity. A pleasing almost-bitterness on the finish. Focused and pungent on the palate, just a very grand old wine.

May 24, 2020 - Rockstar. Beautiful light golden color (not half as dark as I would have expected) The cork went into the bottle when I tried to remove it with the durand so I thought it would be toast but until that moment, it obviously did its job.

A little 'evolved' smelling when first opened but then it tightened up and showed some beautiful essential oil (lemon verbena), ever so light butterscotch and lots of dry quince and fresh herbs. It reminded me of an old dry riesling almost. Rich but still precise!

Turned out to be a stunning wine and far exceeded my expectations. I bet a decade ago it was flat out brilliant but still excellent today. Happy Birthday me!

June 12, 2017 - A fabulous bottle. Rich, unctuous, slightly exotic and fresh. Great volume. The perfect amount of honeyed development and a pleasant light butteriness against the gums. Great length.

April 6, 2017 - Acker Merrall Pre-Auction Tasting (Le Cirque - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Rockstar great. Ripe fruit is shockingly fresh, very powerful and nicely nuanced with mint, spice and textural beauty. Very long. My favorite white of the tasting, and almost everybody else seemed to agree.

July 1, 2016 - Wonderful, mature white Burg. Has a subtle whiff of white peach and the most pure expression of white peach. There’s a touch of menthol and green melon too. It is complex and focussed in the mouth with great volume and definition. It still has the steely spine of Corton and has superb length of flavour.

June 11, 2016 - Very, very elegant nose. Very much belying its age.
Grace and elegance on the palate too.
    Fantastic stuff.

February 14, 2016 - Plenty of gunk under the capsule. Deep gold color. Not totally shot but partially acetic. Not good.

December 9, 2015 - Beautifully mature bottle of white Burgundy. There are tertiary whiffs of white mushroom and a light drizzle of honey. It has a heady scent of citrus blossom and there are ripe orchard fruit aromas and flavours. It if full and shapely with a slight custardy feel. The wine still possesses a steely backbone and length of flavor is superb.

July 12, 2013 - Amazing wine, the nose is pure heaven and earth; power, elegance and sophisticated depth of flavor here. Best one of the case (WCC)
