February 10, 2020 - Weird. Either a very weak bottle or defective. Very different from all Winston Churchills I have tried before.

January 30, 2020 - 2004 champagne horizontal (110 Taillevent London): Oxidised, unintegrated. Left everyone displeased. Another weak showing by this cuvee sadly under blind conditions.

November 8, 2019 - Charleston Offlineorama V; 11/7/2019-11/10/2019 (The Holy City): This is a little sweet for me, but still delicious with yeasty toast and nice acidity.
    Needs age

November 8, 2019 - Charleston V - the wooden anniversary; 11/6/2019-11/10/2019 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Very toasty and a bit of the brioche. Very fresh. Comes across as quite young. Have heard that these don't age as well as some other wines, but would be interested to see.

October 26, 2019 - In a blind of of 5 this was my number 3 but tied for 1/2 with Selosse. On both the palate and nose there is plenty of apple, citrus fruit and an underpinning of smoke/spice/minerality but I would have liked more in the mid-palate. Right now you got bubbles+acid that disappears and then finishes up with a tart lemon.

October 12, 2019 - Straw, light gold color, w/ lots of fine tiny bubbles. Lemony, biscuity nose. First sip, those tiny little bubbles dance on your palate melting into a fine mousse. Lots of primary citrus and yellow fruit with hints of bruised apples and pear backed by a big spine of acid. Lots of acid. More chiseled than fat with good volume and depth that fans out on the palate but its young. Not a lot of tertiary complexity at the moment, more simple and focused. But great material for continued aging. 94+

September 29, 2019 - Beguiling- initially delicate and citric, opening to impress with stonefruit on the nose and layers of lingering interest. Very impressive. Obviously not in the rich style of Krug or Dom but top of the pile for its style.

September 23, 2019 - Three months ago a bottle was tight and shut down. Yesterday a second bottle from the same purchase is open for business. Puzzling, but I'm not complaining.

Quite reminiscent of a recent 2006 it shows yellow fruit, nice depth and complexity and the promise of future development.

July 21, 2019 - 2004 tête de cuvées blind (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. A huge dud. The dosage is wrong here. The nose is sweet and slightly skunky with some white grape juice thing. The palate has a distinct taste of sugar and is unintegrated. Not only that, this is frankly just kind of simple. Needless to say, the reveal was very disappointing.
