October 6, 2012 - Excellent chateauneuf-du-pape, decanted using the aerator and served with a regular dinner Saturday at home - grilled ribeye with a Mediterranean rub; brussel sprouts in butter sauce and shoepeg corn niblets. This wine complimented the meal excellently and wasn't overpowered by the steak. The wine starts off slightly spicy and then moves to roasted red pepper flavors, the finish has some tannins but is relatively simple though enjoyable.

September 8, 2012 - A very good Rhone blend. Lirac does deliver value and at this price its a steal. Drinking excellent right now. Nothing over the top, but nice dark fruit, spice, and resolved tannins make for a very delicious wine.

May 7, 2011 - Good basic wine, medium body, good blend of spice and fruit nothing remarkable but a nice enjoyable wine

November 3, 2009 - with pork; light, nothing to get excited about, but real nice basic wine light with berry and and body; pairs well with a lighter dish
