Community Tasting Notes 4

August 30, 2020 - Not sure if it's Rosch or Leiwen that causes this, but there's a consistent aroma of lurid, green floral melon that I almost always get in their wines. I'd say this is on the sweeter side of feinherb, and it could use some more acidity. Very tasty, though. Very Good.

March 23, 2020 - Nose: Fresh grass, lychee flesh, pineapples and subtle minerals.

Palate: Ripe green apples (without the sour/tartness), fresh tall grass, slightly bitter wet river rocks from a clean river and a hint of dried pineapple fibers.

Attributes: Medium yellow on the paler side. Off-dry with no noticeable tannin. Medium body with medium to medium-plus acidity. Decent finish of about 10-11 seconds.

Thoughts: Pleasant and easy drinking. The acidity is nice here as it helps balance out some of the sweetness and bring out the fruit more. Try to keep this served chilled. For the price, this isn't bad at all.

Other notes: No decant, time in glass only. Bordeaux glass. Served initially ~33° then 61° over 1.5 hour.

May 11, 2019 - Another Round of Riesling from Dee Vine Wines with a Bonus 1976 TBA (1601 Kitchen, San Francisco): Light yellow. Floral and herbal notes. Light weight. Off dry, bitter citrus and some peach, strong soil on the finish.

November 11, 2017 - Another Eclectic Dee Vine Wines Pop Up German Tasting (The Morris, San Francisco): Light yellow. Flowers and stone fruit. Mouth filling, again very glycerine but not much fruit or flavor, average acidity, good finish.
