March 18, 2024 - Deep ruby color. Licorice. And dark cherry bouquet. Rich flavor with loads of fruit. Ripe, complex, and well-balanced. Smooth finish.
February 1, 2024 - 92. Nose- initial impression was iodine but after a few hours I’m leaning more toward pine needles. Fabulous textured palate of black and red fruits. Solid finish. A Good Rancia. I’ve been hit or miss different vantages of rancia, this was a hit.

December 10, 2023 - Could - an probably should have - waited a bit, but this wine is very nice now. Dry, classic, vertical, oak completely integrated. Chocolate, tobacco here - and very ripe fruit. Will keep
November 27, 2023 - Has improved since last tasting ~ 6 months ago. Decanted and then paired with NY strips about 30 minutes later. Brown/red color. On nose, sweet & sour cherry with tobacco and other savory notes including iodine, orange rind & cedar. Palate consistent with nose but fruit was brighter than nose. Medium body/acidity and integrated tannins with a long finish. 93-94 range.
Very enjoyable.
November 25, 2023 - Let it breathe for an hour, then it’s a nice Riserva, but better with food than solo.
November 24, 2023 - Starting its drinking window now. Lovely pronounced cherry, deep and brooding, some eucalyptus. Very uplifting acidity. Tannins give structure but are approachable now - suggesting you can cellar this much longer if you want. Unfortunates my only bottle.
November 23, 2023 - Great sangiovese! Slightly darker in colour than expected. Strong cherry/mint/leather nose. Similarly, sour cherry palate, with a long finish, and great acidity throughout.
November 5, 2023 - Wow, is this drinking great right now! Just pure, focused Chianti deliciousness 👍. I just had initial glasses of the 2010, ‘11 and ‘12, and based off the first looks, this wine is a clear winner. And I really liked the 2010, so not too shabby.
Vibrant acidity on the palate, pristine red fruit on the nose, this is a real beauty.
