July 14, 2020 - Light golden yellow. Well rounded nose with peaches, kiwi, and a little butterscotch. Medium acidity (6/10) with a medium body. Green apples on the palate with stone fruits and a bit of candied fruits. Some minerality in the long finish. Drink till 2024.

March 29, 2020 - Such a surprise how fresh this is for 2014 and south of the equator. Such bright lemon and tropical fruits. Long finish ending with a nice spicy note. Really enjoyed this. Last bottle I have and these “block “ wines are hard to come by.

September 22, 2019 - Medium clear lemon color. I didn’t notice the “oakiness” from the neutral oak used in barrel fermentation in this wine, which seemed quite notable in the “Block A” enjoyed earlier in the summer. Recommend not drinking too cold, just chilled, so as to enhance the subtle and more nuanced aromatics and flavors: ripe yellow apple, lemon curd, and terroir inspired minerality and saltiness. Dry, with medium plus acidity which balances the ripe fruits. Finishes medium long. Given the barrel fermentation and aging, I think this can develop and improve significantly over the next few years. This is very nice and a wonderful example of a the high quality Chenin Blancs being produced in South Africa.
