August 26, 2017 - Cellar diminishment party - brief note. Love this wine; lots of dark fruit with spice and herbal undertones. Long finish. At peak. Decant off its sediment and serve with lamb. Terrific.

August 25, 2015 - Consistent with prior notes with a very Bordeaux-like bouquet and terrific fruit and length on the palate. Terrific juice.

July 23, 2015 - Still drinkable. Muted fruit still there. Drink now. Way past its prime. Stored perfectly since release.

May 3, 2015 - I love this wine. Aromas of cured meat, tobacco, black fruit and herbs. Medium tannins with boysenberry and black fruit, herbs, plum and spice. Lengthy finish.

April 15, 2015 - Opened by Allred with dinner. As his note states, this has a Bordeaux profile, but there also is the fruit present. Thus my score. A lovely bottle. I think I'll hold onto my '12's for a few years if this is what they will evolve into.

April 15, 2015 - Popped & poured, having recently acquired a six-pack directly from the winery. Aromas of meat, roasted bell pepper, tobacco and mixed berry fruit. Medium-bodied with nicely integrated tannin and flavors of black fruit, plum, curing spices, roasted game and herbs. In a great spot right now. 93 for me, 94 for Domino, 95 for Mrs. TLV and 92 for TLV (a generous score from him considering how Bordeaux-like this is).

March 28, 2015 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D's): Herbal and meaty, with a nice funk and tobacco. Dark fruit on the palate. Nicely balanced; finishes very well. I think we all thought Bordeaux on this one.

December 2, 2014 - ATP wine. Way past its prime but still very drinkable. Delicate perfumed nose of dried cherries, bramble and graphite. Amazing example of how well Ridge wines age when stored properly. Could it be the native yeast policy of the winery?

December 15, 2013 - Popped and poured. Sour cherries right out of the bottle, then a subdued and restrained drink with puckering tannins and little fruit left.
