April 27, 2023 - Smooth but not weak. Rich complex aftertaste.
    Barnyard.
So many things happening at once I can’t keep track of all of them.

February 3, 2018 - Dark red in color. On the nose lots of leather, salami and smoked ham. Hints of nutmeg, thyme and violets. Taste is very balanced, but (of course)lots of tannins. Smokiness comes back and last forever.
19 years and still young, what a treat!!

March 29, 2017 - Slightly corked or at least certainly not quite right. Stripped and inexpressive even allowing for semi mature tannat. Shame NR

April 4, 2015 - Some development but still a lively acidity and rough tannins. Great concentration and length but the tannins make it hard to drink on its own. It may be me who is a little sensitive though. Rather open on the fruit with currant, black wine-gums, dried plums, tea and dark chocolate.

September 20, 2013 - Flight 3, South & South West France, Wine 7 (blind): The wine was dark garnet in colour, turning orange-brown towards the edges. It offered a developed nose of dried fruit, blackberry, mocha, leather, tobacco, dried herbs, dried spices, and medicinal and oxidative notes. On the palate the medium-bodied, balanced wine showed dried fruit, leather and tobacco, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-plus well-integrated tannin and good length of the slightly bitter finish. The wine seemed to be at its peak; drink now and over the next two to three years.

September 20, 2013 - Dark red, lighter red on the edge. Somewhat subdued smell. Nice dark fruit with clearly present tannins that are beginning to integrating with the fruit. Drinks very well right now with the proper food, but will probably evolve with a couple of years more in the cellar.

April 17, 2013 - Great food wine for most and Sprechen Wein for S&M people. Needs more rest or a-lot-of-aeration! Upon opening: mature impression but a THIN mid-palate. After 20 hrs of rest in half full btl: the mid-palate is getting there and the wine starts feeling - young, vibrant and very promising. All in all: Early maturity.
Blackish red wine with an M-sized nose of red berries and a combo of horses' arse and Bordeaux earth. Per os magnificent and balanced with a TI-tannic expression and M+ acids. Shows off earth, wood treatment, tannic-tannic-tannic, red berries and mature aromas as in eating cheese and raw meet in the stables. This is a GREAT wine!
Want to keep our remaining bottles for some time and open the next at least 4 years from now.

April 1, 2013 - mature wine with very tertiary aromas: tar, tobacco, läder on a light red fruit layer. Quite thin fruit compared with the still dry finish... Good, charming, but a bit unbalanced. Need food to soften the dry tannins and get more of the fruit.

March 27, 2013 - Nose of dried fruits, oak, leather, stable, the works. Taste is dry, medium bodied, with lots of ripe tannin and high acidity. Probably needs more air than I gave it.

    January 19, 2013 - Even though I gave it a 90 it doesn't mean that I am truly impressed.
We had Cuvee Prestige some years ago and it would have knocked this fellow out of it socks.
Still good but at 60$ a bottle you may think twice.
    But that's ok.
