September 10, 2023 - Retail $55. Heavy bottle. Under cork. 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. I bought six bottles of this wine back in 2018 from Last Bottle Wines and I could not have been happier. I have been a fan of Ehlers and Kevin Morrisey since the first time I stepped foot on the property and this wine confirms it. Sure, it is ten years out and it is starting to show its age, if only slightly. The dark red berry fruit is ever-so-slightly stewed, but there is also a dash of spice and a touch of chutzpah on the nose. The palate is on the verge of rich, with several layers, but the driver here is the acidity for sure, and the subtle tannins are completely integrated. Time to drink up, certainly.

July 5, 2022 - This is past it's prime for my tastes. Not offering much in terms of aromas or on the palate.

September 24, 2021 - A little heavy on the oak for my palate, but it is pretty well integrated. Good depth and length - a very good Napa Valley wine for the money.

August 29, 2021 - Retail $55. 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. I bought six bottles of this wine back in 2018 from www.lastbottlewines.com and I honestly am kicking myself for not having bought more. While the notes are consistent, the wine is perhaps more nuanced and incredibly balanced. Another gem by Kevin Morrissey, why did he ever leave Ehlers?

October 11, 2020 - Surprisingly, I prefer this Estate’s Merlot to their Cabernet Sauvignon. Juicy blue and red fruits, structure, and a Merlot, which can withstand grilled meat and vegetables. I think this could cellar for another 2-3 years.
