  Enjoyable with steak. Maybe it's the vintage that makes it so anonymous? I also ordered a 2006 to try in my search for some new Brunellos I'd like so I'll find out.
  
  Edited to add: the 2006 was much better. drinking well now (6/2021) but will probably continue to improve.

  March 24, 2018 - DBYOB (stockholm): At first I thought this was a Barbera from Voerzio, it was that structured and fresh, while still holding a lot of fruit and texture. But after a while the sweet fruit started wafting through the glass and it was just lovely. Highly recommended.

  April 9, 2016 - Loved this wine. Has great fruit, beginning complexity, elegant style, a firm backbone and lots of freshness. Perhaps a little bitter herbal quality at the end which comes out more in lower temperatures. Does really well as it approaches room temp. Drinking so so well right now and for many many years to come! Even better on day two.

  May 3, 2012 - tasting the May releases from the Government monopoly with "the cupbearers" (Näringslivets hus, Stockholm): Wine of the night for me. Excellent nose of cherries, green pepper, and layers of complexity underneath. And what structure!
