  July 15, 2017 - Did not decant, but let it breathe in the bottle for 90 minutes. Nose revealed boysenberry syrup, cassis, vanilla, & earth. Plenty of fruit on the palate, including cherry & raspberry, with cassis, vanilla, & mint. Balanced tannins that exhibited a faint edge near the end, with medium-low acidity. The finish was medium, ending with oak, cherry, gravel, vanilla, & mint. A pleasant wine near it's peak, with maybe another year left to enjoy.

  May 3, 2017 - Better than previous bottle. This one was a pleasant weekday wine. Still nothing special but good.

  March 18, 2017 - Drinking perfectly now. Graceful and well balanced, with bright red and black fruits, fennel seed, thyme, and a touch of smoke. Fine tannins and persistent finish.
